Hm... Do you have 'Synchronize to output' enabled? (Reason for question: If not, the sound cards will be restarted at some point, and we've already seen that that can cause a hangup on your system. If that's indeed it, I can build a version that continuously restarts the sound cards to see if we can reproduce - and if so, fix - it (but: I suppose your pc is in use...). So I'll try if I can reproduce it here - if you can first answer this question.
I actually already wanted to ask if you had a Juli@ - I've seen problems with the Juli@ sound card driver in the past, but that was always within seconds after starting. If it is a sound card (driver) issue, then it's probably there in ALL versions but happens VERY rarely. That will be hard to test though...

Hm, but thinking further - a sound card hangup should not cause the whole program to stop responding.
I'll have to look this up tomorrow, but I am guessing that "not responding" is different from things like "performed an illegal operation" - which would mean that nothing crashed but something got stuck. (Did you by any chance look at the CPU load when it was stuck?). And then that something must be in the GUI thread. Will look into this further tomorrow - I'll check if there are any wait commands in it.
If C:\temp does not exist, than Stereo Tool cannot write an error log to a file (I actually assumed originally that that directory exists by default, but you're not the first who doesn't have it; I guess I'll have to find a different directory to log to).
I am not using the sync function output.
Unfortunately I can not put my test PC to disposition all the time, because without it, our radio is off air. But if necessary could be tested two or three hours in the morning.
Right now I have reintalado previous version, you could try again with the previous version in the early morning hours, but the problem appeared after one week of operation, so do not think it serves.
The truth about the burden I have not looked, the thing was as follows:
I received a notice that the radio was out of air, enter the remote PC that processes sound, and I find a poster of Windows "Stereo Tool not responding"
After this, I again open StereoTool and worked well.
But once I closed it and restore a previous version.
Sorry if there are problems in the translation, I do not speak English.
