Hi Hans,
I tried the last version BETA_633-058 same issue in vst.
To write "VST version produces silence when processing a file" is wrong; the new file has audio, but this audio sounds like the original file. It looks like stereotool will be bypassed during processing.
To clarify, this will be only when audio will be rendered in a background mode with more than real time. (In WaveLab 2-3x time faster)
If I play the audio file in editor of WaveLab to make adjustment into stereotool, the vst plugin works very fine.
To be sure that I make not a mistake, I added a second vst-plugin (stereoEcho) after stereotool in my processor chain. After rendering only the vst-plugin stereoEcho has processing my audio file.
Last working version was BETA632-020.

@bacclux: Am I doing something wrong? I tried loading both the VST and DSP versions in DbPowerAmp, in both cases I get a popup window "dBPowerAmp DSP Settings: vst_stereo_tool" that's empty and only contains an OK button.

Now building a debug version to see if I can find out what's going on.

Edit: Same, and no errors. Very strange...

True, but also a lot of work to add... (Not just pasting, but I suppose you also want selecting, copying etc.) For now you can paste it in the web interface directly.

Ok, that settings window is empty here. I don't get further than this!

My first attempt with dBPowerAmp was on Windows XP 32 bits, I've now tried it in Windows 7 64 bits and I'm getting exactly the same behavior. I've tried both with a debug version and with the BETA058 version that's posted on the forum. Am I missing something obvious?

Edit: 6.32 doesn't work either. I'm lost... This way I won't be able t fix anything :(

How do you open this "dBpoweramp DSP settings: VST PlugIn" window? All I see is the Add button in the main window, if I click that all I can choose is Load (which loads some settings file) and Add DSP Effect, in which I see the file names of installed plugins. If I click one of those the empty window opens immediately. But I don't see the window in your screenshot and the other window with the 'Scan' button at the bottom. So, how do I get there?

Stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 33-059.exe
Winamp DSP: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 33-059.exe
VST: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 33-059.dll
Command line: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 33-059.exe

Web interface skins won't work anymore because the image names have changed! Everything got web__ prepended. But the built-in skin looks much better now (and is not loaded from an external site anymore)

Done:
- Bold font in window/heading titles http://i.imgur.com/T4wXM.png
- Redraw when coming from iconified mode in Stand Alone version sometimes fails.
- Rounding slider positions to the number of available digits; avoids weird issues such as being unable to check 'Below 0 dB' for Post Amp when it's set to 0 dB.
- Add web interface security warning window
- Move images to built-in web server!
- Improve web interface look Greatly improved. More may be needed but ok for now. IE looked bad. IE problem with caching - solved now by using POST instead of GET requests, you may need to clear your cache to get rid of the old data to get it to work properly!

TODO:
- Fix calibration window (missing check boxes, lots of them)
- VST version does not process (output=input) when processing a file - viewtopic.php?f=14&t=4334&start=661
- Check STS file saving - Probably fine
- Memory usage is increased. Try building 2 channel instead of 5.1 channel version.
- New RDS display layout?

Less urgent for usability:
- Design (several people are working on something)

For later:
- Add 'purpose based' view on settings (for example all settings that affect bass combined).
- Multi-language support
- Add basic/advanced modes
- Add '-6' '-12' etc. beside output bars where possible.
- Context sensitive Help (help button should be next to the preset buttons)
- Drag (resize window parts) lines, also between to/bottom part (scopes/meters).
- Confirm on close (stand alone version)

I can confirm this, I have never been able to produce any effects with the ST VST in dbPoweramp, I just get unaffected audio, therefore I just do all my adjustments in Adobe Audition instead. My iZotope & other VST's work fine with dbPoweramp. The ST windows appears and I can make adjustments, but nothing gets changed when the audio file is created.
I am using Win7 x64, but I have tried in my Virtual XP & Win7 x86, with same results.

Edit Update: I went back in and played around with this again, I noticed that when I make my adjustments and click ok in (dbPoweramp) the ST VST to save and go to the convert window, that if I click on the VST settings button to check my adjustments, that they have all been reset to the default settings (this should not happen). My other VST's do not act like this, they keep their last state even if dbPoweramp has closed and reopened.
