Hello,

Been streaming from ST (latest versions) to our Icecast 2 Host, and have lately been getting the message on the Stereotool UI "Error Starting: Login Failed", but the stream IS connected.

Is this a bug within ST? Also for consistency in the UI, I note that Streaming 1 lists "Server Type" and ubfustcates the password, where the other streaming outputs call it "Connection" and show password in plain text.

I also have thew issue where ST will not automatically licnense the AAC codec for streaming, although I'll drop Hans a support ticket on this. Unless anyone knows a quick workaround to add the codec library?

Cheers, Richard

It was some disconnect/connect at some point.. and yes it keep that message on that bar. Wich i don't think it's not needed anymore since there is LOG there now, up-right.
Same for I/O

And yes, streaming part need rework.
It's true, instance 1 and instances 2-8 are not same. Afaik, there is plan to fix all that and make bit different.

1. What Bojcha wrote.
2. I've just fixed both issues, it's now called Server type everywhere and obfuscation is enabled everywhere.
3. Did you get an error message? I checked our server logs and the only failed request to add AAC that I see was for a cracked license, but it could be that your request didn't reach our server at all.

Hans;
In last version, Did you separate instance for metadata & streaming to avoid blocking stream when metadata is not accessible ?
