Stereo Tool

Hi,

I have installed StereoTool on a RP 3 with a USB sound card for output. My goal is to attach a USB HDD that contains my music to play and use VLC to input to ST. However, I can't figure out what to set VLC to, or ST for input. ST, is using 100% of the processor and if I try to play audio on VLC to another output it of course is choppy.

I have tried setting ST to VLC input and tried the various audio card settings in VLC, none mention ST as an option. I get 3 options, Internal, HDMI, or ALCS sound card within VLC.

Bottom line, is I can't get any audio into ST. Any thoughts or help appreciated.

Try to create alsa loopback devices and play vlc to the new virtual audio loopback device!
In StereoTool input select this loopback device too!
