Woehaha! Another first in Stereo Tool: On-the-fly noise and hum removal! As far as I know no other FM processor has this feature...

The filter itself is not that spectacular (it has been built into programs like CoolEdit, Adobe Audition, SoundForge etc.). But, we can now do it in live mode!

Windows 32 bit:
Windows stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 52-001.exe
Winamp DSP: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 52-001.exe

CHANGES:
- Added PNR Noise & Hum

What it does and how to use:
Original file: http://www9.zippyshare.com/v/96778981/file.html

As you can hear there's a loud tone present throughout the recording. This filter can remove that tone! Normally you should use this to remove for example 50/60 Hz hums from bad wiring etc. (Of course, fixing the problem is always better!!!).

Anyway, here's what to do with it.
1. Enable PNR Noise & Hum
2. Play the recording. Turn "Collect Data" on for the part where you ONLY hear the tone (the first 12 seconds or so). Then turn Collect Data off and let the filter do its work! Note: Make sure that you don't turn the filter on on silence, or at the part where the music plays, or a wrong mask will be generated and either the tone won't be removed properly or other sounds will be removed as well.

The result should sound like this:
Repaired file: http://www9.zippyshare.com/v/18632314/file.html

To use this for a studio with (constant!!!!) background noise, do the same thing: Turn "Collect Data" on when there's some silence. If you accidentally collected the wrong data, use Reset to clear all the data.

Note: The settings are not yet saved! So when you restart Stereo Tool, at this moment you'll have to collect the data again.

Latest beta of 7.51 i see on Web interface that if i load some panel , then i reload it (refresh) , it becomes with "small buttons". Looks like this function is not working as it should . Needs to be checked. I know it`s on improving period but just mention this.

I forgot to mention the browser - it`s Firefox

PS: I have increase of the load by around 2.0% - new filter is OFF

CPU load makes sense - I have the check for NAN's enabled again (and I will do that most of the time for non-final-release builds to catch errors).

I have seen weird things in the GUI before, haven't found the cause yet (or spent time on finding it, for that matter)

Yes, it`s good to know them and when fix/finish other major things , you can spend some time to "catch" them like you said :)

In the next version you'll be able to save the PNR data. Since it's a lot of data (the file is 260 kB) I'm saving it to a separate file.

For people using the VST plugin: You're not going to like this... Thing is, some VST clients already have problems with the huge number of parameters in ST, if I add these to the list (over 6000 parameters) that would make things a lot worse. So, for now, please make a copy of the VST .dll with a different name - the file will then be stored linked to the name of the VST.
