Post subject:  virtual audio cable Problem

I have a problem with stereo tool and virtual audio cable. I get sometimes buffering, lags and outcomes. On my M Audio sound card I can fix a similar problem by setting buffering time up. But I did not seem able to find something in virtual audio cable control pernel.

Can I do something?

How you exactly use VAC in combination with your M-Audio and also what version ?

I do not use VAC with M Audio card. But I've had the same error on an M Audio card. I could solve by putting the buffer up to 1024 kb, but I can not see a way to do it in VAC

In VAC panel set worker threads "up to" - number of your phisycal cores, Prio to 31. set all cables to fixed 16bit and sample rate fixed what you need. Turn off Channel mixing, PortCls. Set fmt to "cable range". NC 1 to 2.

- NC 1 to 2
- depth 16 to 16
- Up to = number of cpu cores
- Samplerate, if you want 48 then set - 48 to 48

Just to check - you're not talking about the buffers in Stereo Tool getting empty after a (long) time? Because if it's that, you can enabled 'Synchronize to output' in the input sound card settings. This can occur because the VAC sample rates will never exactly match sound card sample rates. If you're not using an actual sound card this is no issue.

I am using Audiotx to StereoTool Standalone to SoundBlaster Sound card to Transmitter. I think I am connecting it correctly but I am getting a double audio output. like an echo. any suggestions?
