Post subject:  Stereo tool command line CPU overload
Hi,

I'm using stereo tool command line in Windows 7, Pentium Centrino Duo T5600 1,83 GHz, streaming through Subsonic. The thing is that after some minutes it stops working, and Resource Monitor shows 100% CPU usage (the preset does no use loudness nor the declipper) and 3 images of stereotoolcmd.exe, each with 4 threads, and around 30 of CPU each. Subsonic itself, as a service, shows up around 85 CPU. Any clue as to if that is normal? Thanks,

Hm, I don't know Subsonic (I actually had to look it up) - but my first question would be: Why are there 3 instances of Stereo Tool present? Or are you streaming 3 streams simultaneously?

30% per Stereo Tool instance doesn't seem out of the ordinary, but 3*30+85 is more than 100 so that doesn't make sense? Also, 85% for just a streaming service seems a lot - does it start this high or does it get this high when it gets stuck? And when it does, are the Stereo Tool instance still doing anything?

That is part of the odd thing. There is just one stream (unless I'm been hacked, which seems very very unlikely, but I could check in the log file). Something similar has been happening when I listen to music, after some minutes the music starts to interrupt, or if I process files, I start at almost 4x and then it gets as slow as 0,6x. When that happened (3 instances) sound just stopped (in my Iphone) and performace went all up to 100% steady in my PC. This didn't happened with earlier versions. I also ran a complete malware cleaner, which found something but overall nothing changed that much.

I asked also because ordinarily when using stereotool without loudness CPU doesn't reach 30, it was around 15
