Hi, I've been playing around with Stereo Tool lately. I built this preset from scratch, by studying various presets and the behaviours of the prcoessor. This preset is made for CHR formats and has mild compression. P.S I still don't fully understand the wideband compressor. Some people may or may not like this type of sound.

I ask for your feedback on the preset. Go as hard on the criticism as you want, as long as it is constructive!

Hi Est

For a beginner tweaker you've actually done ok!

I wouldn't put it to air on FM but certainly mastering or just listening.. sure!

There are a few things that aren't optimal
1) attack times on your MB 1-2ms.. way to quick!
2) very little limiting

Try to strike a balance between compression and limiting rather then just compressing the life out of it.

Very good.. keep going

Turn off WB compressor and your MB2.. they aren't being utilized so you might as well turn them off

The Bass clipping needs some work

Keep in mind you dont want to limit the Low Frequencies to much as the more the Bass clipper gets more punchy the audio will sound.

Getting better.

I tweaked you preset very quickly with not such much errors but more things that are a bit counter productive

1) turned off FM broadcast... If your not outputting this into a transmitter turn it off
2) Turned off your MB2 and WB
3) Changed your gain structure
4) Changed your AGC to a Multiband AGC
5) Changed your Stereo delay .. 6ms is too quick for the human ear... 13-14ms is a better start
6) Changed the gain and cross over of your Bass clipper

There was a few other things I changed but 90% is still your settings.

If you want to learn more about what does what there are some good youtube videos with
Mike Ericson from Wheatstone, Cornelius Gould From Angry Audio and even from The Man Hans himself
