So I've managed to figure out how to get Winamp as well as RadioDJ to playout through Stereo Tool processing using VB Cables but I can't get Audacity to record the audio using the default Windows WASAPI (using the speakers setting) I get an error.
The only way I can do it is having the audio sent via the analog output to a mixer than input it back into the computer using Windows MME or Direct Sound.
Prefer not doing it that way.
Any ideas? Maybe time for a new sound card?
Is there any sound card that would allow me not to have to use VB cables and act as a system mixer?
I'm using a Dell Optiplex 9020

So, to clarify, you're using the Stand Alone Stereo Tool with VBcable as input (which Winamp outputs through). How are your outputs set up?

The way I do it is to use an additional virtual cable (from Voicemeeter Banana https://vb-audio.com/Voicemeeter/banana.htm) as one of the outputs (in my case FM) and send that through my recording application.

I believe VBcable has more straight virtual cables you can use if you install the A+B version https://shop.vb-audio.com/en/win-apps/1 ... le-ab.html or you can try the latest free Breakaway Pipeline https://www.claessonedwards.com/download/ (which is based on the original Virtual Audio Cable application https://vac.muzychenko.net/en/) but it's potentially more complex to set up.

Yes that is correct.
I have Winamp output using a VB cable to Stereo Tool.
So I'd need an additional Virtual cable.
Stereo Tool outputs to my speakers, which is confusing since that's what Audacity is set tor record from but I get an error.
