PreSouns 26C and MOTU M2/M4 have DC Coupled outputs (some reviews online says this, Can't confirm) But what about frequency response? anyone running stereotool with these cards can confirm the linearity? |

I have MOTU M4. Low frequencies are OK, but on highs it is NOT phase-linear. Pira P275 analyzer shows RDS phase shift -32 degrees. It is not acceptable and not correctable by ST software for now. Also tested Steinberg UR22C and ESI UGM192, they have the same problem, but phase shift is sightly smaller. For now the only phase-linear USB sound card I tested is old E-MU 0204. Yes is has issues on lows, but it can be easy corrected by ST Tilt correction. At 57 kHz is has 0.85dB drop, but it also can be corrected. |

Posted this one a couple of times earlier, but nobody seems to bother. It's really perfect (and waaayy cheaper) and outperforms anything else for MPX-output that I have seen to date. https://imgur.com/a/2gBn4Vz USB Realtek ALC4042, DC-coupled output, linear up to 80 kHz (possibly even higher as it can do up to 384 kpbs), SNR 100 dB, cost only € 15 or so. I tried new ST RDS2-support and works like a charm too. |

That was not a link to buy, it was a picture that I took from the PCB inside. I had opened it to confirm that it actually contains the ALC4042 and to solder in some RF-filtering at the output. As I had pointed out in some other posts, you should be able to buy here: https://www.onlinekabelshop.nl/nedis-us ... ief-h.html |

Thanks for the information, regards...

I can only find this Realtek Digital Audio ALC4050 PCM, available to buy and for my country, could I use it, do you think it would work for me like the ALC4042 chip that you recommend? Thank you...
