Disabling "Encode Stereo" in I/O -> FM Transmitter disables composite clipping.

This isn't supposed to happen, as composite clipping significantly impacts loudness, even in mono.

An easy way to hear the difference is to enable stereo, but reduce the stereo pilot to 0% (effectively disabling stereo but still broadcasting the L-R signal).
Then switch the composite clipper on/off and listen to the difference.

You cant use composite clipper unless there is an stereo pilot and a L-R section. The whole point of composite clipper is to cram more audio to the blank spots left by 19kHz, 38kHz (and 57kHz) when they travel to zero.

You set "Extra composite clipper drive" to +2dB. By enabling composite clipper you're basically toggling 2dB extra drive on and off.

When inspecting the MPX created by Stereo Tool with a spectrum analyzer [while composite clipper is on], you can see that when you are playing out a mono signal through Stereo Tool, the L-R signal is bouncing a bit sometimes with the signal. It happens because that is the extra punch which is created by the clipper, even for the mono signal.

That's mean that even mono signals are more louder with "composite clipper" on? :o
