Post subject:  Increasing dynamic range

Hi,

First of all, thanks for a terrific programme. My hi-fi is already sounding better than ever with the tweaks I have done so far.

A couple of questions from a newbie, and someone who is not a computer nor audio expert:-

- is it possible to increase the dynamic range? Most of Stereotool is about compression and limiting dynamic range. I'd like to go the other way and increase dynamic range a little to get back to the sort of recordings we had in classical music in the 1990's before the engineers went too far (IMHO) with compression for the car market.

- what are the horizontal units on the equalizer ie are they from the right 20KHz, 10KHz, 5KHz etc down to what, 50Hz?

Many thanks

NoisyP

1: See this thread: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2630
(Not yet implemented, but was requested a few weeks ago).

2: In the main window, the frequencies are displayed below the bars. Basically, it starts at 22.050 kHz at the 10th, then divide by 2 for each slider to the left (ends at 43 Hz). But the 2 topmost sliders were moved a bit because many people didn't hear a difference when they changed slider 10...
