Huh? So what is it, not much difference or clearly better? And for MP3-like artifacts, I expect them in 160-band mode, not in 1-band mode. Or do you mean it's a lot better than the old 40-band mode?

@Bojcha:
So which of the two do you prefer? I hear good and bad things in either... Based on your earlier feedback I'm guessing that you prefer 160.

Btw in multichannel mode the analog compressor causes a NaN and no sound unless channel separation is set to 100%.

By multichannel do you mean more than 2?

160 bands is extremely heavy on the CPU, so it probably can't handle it.

I also haven't tested it at other latencies than 4096 yet!!!

It would be cool if PNR could include a (multiple/freehand) bandpass filter. I finetune PNR in Wavelab right now by adding a bandpass filter in the effect chain in front of Stereotool so it only analyzes the high/low frequencies where usually the noise/humming is.

Example of bandpass before Stereotool PNR to remove noise:

I have here 15 year old MP3s made from tape recordings made from vinyl that are now 100% clear of humming/noise but everything else of the music is untouched by PNR thanks to the bandpass filter. :)

I will try to optimize it :) but step 1 is to make it sound good in the first place to set some target.

I tested on foobar2000 both dsp and vst version. Exciter use more CPU or disappear sound when enable at least one from multiband,bassboost,and bass protection in advanced limiter.
