@Valiant: No issues with the icon here, it shows correctly inside Stereo Tool and also in Explorer. What do you see exactly?

My ST SA desktop shortcut icon was missing after I installed 006. So I right clicked on the desktop icon > shortcut > change icon > got that error window. I went back and installed 005 then 004 (same thing), then when I installed 003, the icon reappeared OK. tried the 4, 5 & 6 again, and while my system kept the desktop icon on the screen, when I right clicked the icon to check them, I got that error message each time. But yes, the icon did show in my explorer when I went to that folder.

@Valiant: Which Windows version do you have? It seems to work fine here... And this shortcut, did you make that yourself? What if you make a new one? (That's what I tested and it worked fine, in both Windowx XP and Windows 7).

I am using Windows 7 x64 Ultimate. All my other desktop shortcuts work fine, yes I did try creating a new shortcut, but the still same thing. I even went to the folder that the file is in, tried to customize the folder icon using the ST SA.exe file, but get the error trying to do that as well (That should not happen). This only happens with the last 3 releases.

Stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 02-007.exe
Winamp DSP: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 02-007.exe
VST: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 02-007.dll

- RDS encoding for some characters added.
- Note: Bass clipper in stand alone version is modified, *might* be better but could also be worse. (I think the clipping level can be increased a bit with this).
- I changed something with icon encoding, might be fixed now (?)

Some more RDS findings, now on Beta 7. We're slowly getting there ;)

I've used two receivers and a Pira P175 FM analyzer with its accompanying Windows software - RDS Spy - for the tests.
The RDS Spy software seems to have some display issues. It doesn't always show the correct characters (maybe due to the character set on the PC?),
so I've had to dig into the raw data captured by the analyzer.

ª Feminine Ordinal Indicator.
Win-1252 code 0170, RDS code 160.
Shown as £, RDS code 170 on both receivers. For some reason shows OK in RDS Spy.
Untranslated raw RDS character 160 shown OK on both receivers. Shown as blank in RDS Spy, but looking into the raw data the correct code is there.

‰ Per Mille Sign.
Win-1252 code 0137, RDS code 163.
Shown as ù, RDS code 137 on one receiver, blank on another. Most often a solid block (skipped) in RDS Spy, but sometimes shown as ª, it changes between test runs.
Untranslated raw RDS character 163 shown OK everywhere.

Ý Latin Capital Letter Y With Acute.
Win-1252 code 0221, RDS code 229.
Shown as Ź, RDS code 237 on one receiver, blank on another. Solid block (skipped) in RDS Spy.
Untranslated raw RDS character 229 shown OK everywhere.

ý Small Letter Y With Acute.
Win-1252 code 0253, RDS code 245.
Shown as ź, RDS code 253 on one receiver, blank on another. Solid block (skipped) in RDS Spy.
Untranslated raw RDS character 245 shown OK everywhere.

These discrepancies are still there. I've tested on several Win7 Ultimate 64 and XP 32 computers, it's the same on all of them.

Hans ,
What you mean with " clipper in stand alone is modified"
You post an old clipping and new one .. i think in Adobe audition , if i`m not wrong .
Are you saying that this new one is turned into something else ?
Or may be put some picture to visualize this modification ?
In my opinion this new "linear clipping" (let`s say it this way because the old one is more like logarithmic) is the truth :)

But we don`t know this last modification :(

Modification is small: Before there were often 'holes' (valleys) in the center of a low frequency waveform; that's now *slightly* less the case.

The difference is very small though. Higher frequencies should have slightly more punch now.
