Hey guys,
I just want to tell you that from yesterday i have a FX-4300 Vishera 4 core beast

Happy with that - double more cores now. I only wonder how it`s possible the stock cooler to handle this ? It`s like my stock cooler for the old dual core Athlon II 240e . Anyone can answer ? If i close the case , the temperature goes to over 50 deg. I stop the "turbo core" and let the case open for now. It gets about 40 deg.
Not a smart move-basically your CPU has TWO (yes, two) modules (not cores), ONE floating point and TWO integer units, EACH. So FPU-wise you only have 2 cores - more/less this will give you a performance of a regular i3 processor (55W) at 95W TDP envelope
And yes - I know them well - I'm telling you this from a user's perspective: FX8320, FX6300, Athlon IIx2 250, Athlon IIx4 620, i7 3770, i5 2400, i3 3220T, G1610, G1610T, E6420, E6300.
In ST this i3 3220T (35W) outperformed FX6300 (95W) just efortlessly. Moreover FX6300 couldn't handle the newer versions of ST up to 7.71 (one thread reached 100%, the second up to 80 - and it was causing the ST to eat all the buffers immidiately - no matter what the core settings were.).
Regarding the cooling thing - this was my cooler for FX8320/FX6300 (believe me, for FX8320 it was a MUST, and it was raching up to 55 C in the summer, with excellent airflow within the case):
Now I have it dissasembled - I just got fed up with such a waste of power for no gain.
