Update:
- Slider bug solved (I didn't even know that you could use the mouse wheel for that ;-) ).
- All outputs should be synchronized now.
- Loudness: Sliders added to allow more lows or more highs. Data is not yet - so it needs to be set again when ST is loaded again.

For highs the difference in sound is very small - and you can only hear a difference at moments where very loud highs are present in the first place. I do measure a +1 dB increase at certain points though when I increase the highs slider a lot. (I have to admit that I expected a much larger gain in highs - I'll look into this later. Also I see that the amount of bass is also going up slightly when I increase the highs, that's very unexpected and might reduce the effect.)

For lows, I clearly hear louder bass and the distortion caused by it when I set it to 10000 - so that's working.

These settings have the most effect when the Loudness slider is set very high, for Loudness settings up to 2.2 (High quality) or 3.0 (Normal quality) there is even no difference at all because the filter is turned off. Note that these slider do NOT increase the amount of highs; there's a filter that removes too loud lows and highs just before the Loudness filter kicks in, these sliders only affect the level at which the filter starts to work. And for the highs, they probably have more effect when you're using 75 us pre-emphasis because there are more loud highs then.

I can do that (for example by making the graphs clickable, so you can click on them to turn them on or off), but don't you have the same problem with the other output bars (volume, multiband etc.)? Alternatively you could reduce the screen refresh speed.

By the way, what type of problems does this cause? I would expect that the software that handles the remote connection reduces the amount of screen updates, and the code that performs the displaying should always wait until everything has been refreshed before it starts refreshing things again. I don't have a remote pc here, so I cannot easily test this (I have tried running ST in virtual machines and that works fine, although with a far lower refresh rate).

So, could you describe what happens?
- Network overload which causes audio problems?
- Garbled display?
- Only a slow refresh rate?
- ...

Bojcha,

If you download the latest version, you can now turn the wave display on or off by clicking on it. Not saved yet, so - again - you'll need to set it again after restarting.

Does this help?

Hint about sound quality:
- Select FM Extreme
- Set Pre Limiter soft limit sliders to around 10 and 5 (instead of 36 and 18).
- To increase the volume, you can increase the Final Limiter volume.

I think I'll replace the current Loud and Extreme presets by settings like this - I'll just need to check if I can achieve the same volume.
