Quote: Quote: Indeed Hans, I have tried on an other slow desktop, and I don't see difference between 7.84 and 8.00. CPU stays rond 55%. 4% when ST switch off.
q6600 quad, 4 gb, debian wheezy up to date (7.9 updated upgraded), dell, 7.84 26% max both quality cpu and display refresh at 100% , 8.0 on 44% same settings, playing with gui has to be done carefully now especially opening the delossifier is a real killer (GUI spectrum) and peaking up to 80% , on various Bojcha preset test we did (wav/dab) we had to turn of oversampled limiting and clipping to avoid overload during the processing after some timeIf you want I will retry on server, but during night (because it's the server who run for the transmitter). |

This is a Linux issue - the new version appears to use a lot of CPU on Linux (one core is 100% full, reported by others). Must have happened when I replaced the wxWidgets library by direct Xlib calls. |

Hi Hans, I have retested this night on the Core2 Duo E8400 @ 3.00GHz ST 7.84 interface minimized, CPU at 55% ST 8.00 interface minimized, same preset CPU at 60% (just a little more). ST standalone version 64b On studio site, I have a problem that never had before. After 3 day running ST 8.00, I had glitch in the sound (every 2or 3 seconds). To solve the problem, I just click on Restart (Restart sound cards) button on ST. It's not a cpu overload problem (i3-2130) CPU at 24%. Audio Card M-Audio Delta44. Line in as input, line out as output audio (No mpx signal). An idea of the problem ? |

No. Did you check the buffer filling when this happened?

Ey! Hans... Delossifier seem does not work well. Distorted bass and treble seems that someone down and up the treble control. Remember the first preset Jesse G, before installing the spectral balance. By the way, since the protection Repaired voice, treble have greatly improved. |

Is this in version 8.00? If so, can you send me the track in which you hear this and your settings? What you're describing should NOT happen, the effect should be very subtle.

Hans, please. You can check absolute highs. I think also gives conflict, but I'm not sure. 8.00 st use the preset Jesse Graffam - Minnesota Lakes With, true bass, absolute highs and delossifier (now off) power on. Thank you... |

As I said, please send me your settings and a track where this happens. I've tested it (and many others have) and so far you're the only one who complains about this, if you can send me some test material I can look into it. |
