Wow , new version is ahead

So... I ask in the last version thread , but i`ll ask again here : Is Gating in MB will be there before reduce the bands in it? Because in the past i read that MB will have reduced number of bands when redesigned.
I suggest to build the gate function in MB before reduce the bands .Will help a lot of users .
In the current implementation gating is unfortunately not possible (I have tried adding it about a year ago, it failed). I really need to redesign the whole filter. Adjusting the number of bands is the easiest part of that...

oo..
I see Hans .....
Ok, redesign it ... All i say is when redesign the MB , let us have a version with all 10 bands like now (with gating) ... before reduce them to... i don`t know really how much.

This is my request to you.

I totally agree that the smallest thing is to adjust the number of bands :)
But i also know that you`ll make the redesign, etc.
We`ll wait for it and I`ll be here to help improve it like others that are here.

Once you hear less_then_10_bands in ST, *i belive* you'll not use again old MB.

Changing the MB is a good idea. Ten bands, at times, is hard to setup. A few good presets with that beta version would help a lot. They will help understand the differences as well as be a foundation for any adjustments that I may want to make. With each new version, or beta, I find that I do fewer and fewer adjustments. The MB has always been an issue.

Thanks
Al

Well, I don't know if that will be the case or not, but I can definitely tell you I'm extremely frustrated by the current processing chain, and yes, I mean the entire chain, from preamp to postamp.

Why?

I've come to the frustrating conclusion that in order to keep mids from dropping too much, you have to remain at a relatively high ending RMS output level or seriously underpower the sub-bass and rely on post-StereoTool bass boosting. Since you're still an entrenched Loudness War participant, this isn't a large issue for you... :(

I don`t think so , Bojcha

Because i know what is doing with my preset this MB .. and if has gating slider like in AGC... You even can`t imagine what will be .... but i know, because i listen to it now and know what will happen . It will be the best for FM broadcasting !
I`m not saying NOT to reduce the bands .... just to have a version with all 10(redesigned with gating) before let`s say the next version with 6-7 or whatever.Hope to understand me right.

This isn`t hard to make if we have one redesigned band .. to multiplied it ..

Besides ... It may be a slider for filter Q factor .. if Hans wants to implement this too.

Here is the preset:
Explain in PM

Only correction that i made is AGC left sliders for speeds : 3 db/sec for up speed and 6 db/sec for down speed.

I checked preset .. and wonder why you are not including 'limiters" in MB ?
For MB slow like this that is a must!
Gating will not help you here .. because that would mean MB almost turned OFF.
I am not saying that gating/frezzeng is not needed! But for this MB is not crucial, since range is only 6dB (in tyour preset about 10) which should be no problem for any decent band limiter.

6 db is not that little because it is noticeable .. Try more songs .. or i can upload you to listen . Freezing like you said is just what this preset needs. And no, MB is not turned off because in AGC (with this low speeds is adjusting too for every song) Not turned off..it works.
MB will be the same thing there. Yeah may be Hans would make a checkbox to turn on/off the gating. This is good too.

For the "limiters" : No i`m not mean only bass .. it is in all the frequency range of the song ( bass mids highs.. )
I hope You agree that limiters(clippers) will be almost non working when we have gating/freezing (except EXTREME loud peaks) ... yeah may be the right word is freezing but.. anyway ( You know Gating option in AGC ... just the same , works very well and it`s useful )
