Is there any reason to use the Perfect Declipper plugin (I'm using SAM Broadcaster) if I'm already using the Stereo Tool plugin?
Or does it do more?
Thanks!
No the one in Stereo Tool is identical. Only the separate program contains some declipper presets. But normally the default setting is the best anyway.

Hi Near,
I just loaded your preset in Standalone and also checked DSP version.. And i don't have that drop. (!)

Do you maybe have some other plugin loaded or maybe EQ from player is ON .. ?
Also check/set "Force Level Below" (AGC section) to max.

Here's your 2nd track processed with one of my latest presets:

I used the VST Version of the Plugin. I don't have loaded any other plugins but this dropping still occurs. Hans do you have a idea why this only occurs in the VST Version?

oh yes,
It's not easy to enter some number to this "function" becaue it depends on other settings so Hans left this without value. Anyway it's easy to set it .. when you done with AGC settings, set it and reload ST few times to check where it comes to fit your needs.
hmm.. I just get an idea that maybe it's better add some 'reset' button for this, so you can always see where it'll come on startup.
other parameters that depend on?
if a startup input level may be in db.
No trial and error seems logical to set a parameter.

I think what would greatly help is updated documentation.

Your sentiment here echoes mine of "silly me" when I was told to not pay attention to the numbers in an application that is completely based upon, as the following guy would put it, "a harmony of mathematical precision".

Wow! This new version sounds so gooooooood. I thought it would be hard to improve on what's already so great. With 6.21, I notice much cleaner high's and a better definition of instruments coming thru. Great job again Hans. THANK-YOU!

I agree to update the documentation would be an important step to better utilize the processor.
Hans hopefully follow soon. :)

I guess it will all happen when Hans will switch his job.

I know that probably Hans thought that he would work less in the last months after he resigned. My experience is that it just gets worse untill the last day.

Well, I do work less now, but I also have a lot of other things that I need to do - like buying a car (I loose my lease car at the end of the year), getting everything set up financially etc. And I'm also working on another project with some people that needs to be finished at the end of this year.

On top of that, now that I know that I will have more time next year anyway, I'm taking a bit more time to relax (the last few months I hardly did anything anymore beside sitting after a pc, either at work or at home. Now that I know there are seas of time ahead, and v6.20 (and now also 6.21) has been released, the pressure is off a bit).

Yes! Have a break! ST is sounding fantastic, we're all happy customers (I think?). It's been a great year for StereoTool I reckon, I only discovered it earlier this year after looking for a replacement for the "Enhancer" plugin for Winamp. It's the best bit of software I've bought all year though.

Thanks for your hard work, have a well deserved rest! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Problem with closing ST6.21sa
When i click on the right to close the window to quit ST it doesn't respond. Windows popup with the message "this program is not responding"

I use AMD Athlon(tm) 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 4800+ 2.50 GHz with 2 gb memory. windows 7 32bit

0-1% CPU load
When I turn on stereo tool, 46-60% CPU with no audio input
with audio input rather than peaks to 70% but average about 55%

web radio, preset bojcha - V11 addiction
Latency is at 4096 high quality and Waveform disabled
multicore on

Does anyone else have the same problem?
