Did you set the Threads according to your processor? http://i.imgur.com/J76wqba.png
i got annoying buffer problems with the last versions of stereo tool even te last beta, it doesn't matter what buffer size i set, it keeps buffering. do you have any idea what can cause the problems? |

Yesterday was the first time when I tried 8.01 beta and start with Beta 20 and I have the same issue right after 8.0 I have a Dual core Pentium G3258, so switch Threads from 1 to 2 solved this problem immediately. |

But it should already be using 2 threads (main + 2nd), I guess there must be a problem with some other threads that are new. I don't have a 2-core system anymore, I guess I need to test it on that.

I'm using now 3 threads and it stays somewhere @ 33% so for me it's a major improvement, even with pretty much everything in use. You know I had major problems with that? No complains anymore about that. |

No. How fast does it buffer? And does the buffer size matter?i got annoying buffer problems with the last versions of stereo tool even te last beta, it doesn't matter what buffer size i set, it keeps buffering. do you have any idea what can cause the problems? size does not matter at all even with a buffer of 12 it is a little bit longer before its empty but it still runs empty then. with buffer size 1.000 or 2.000 its within 2 or 3 seconds before its empty. have this problem short before version 8.00 but while i was busy with private life i forgot to mention it. even threads changing does not help. |

Yes it is. But it's an easy one to fix. Go to the main Processing tab and lower the "Post amplifier" setting a tad, until the red goes away. Alternatively, go to the "Limiting/Clipping" tab and enable Hard Limit. Either solution will get rid of the red for you. |

Perhaps the best feature to go in ST in years. It makes all the difference in the world. Quote: Hans:
