Where is the AM output level slider? I'm using a version from a beta or two ago in case it has changed.

You probably would not want to encode/transform and "stream" it like standard audio.

You would best look at encapsulating it in the same manner as AoIP and thus will allow you to route the service across any IP capable network you have access to.

While you could do this in something like Stereo Tool, you would still need an appropriate receiver package at the other end to reassemble and output in MPX.

Would be an interesting concept though! :-)

This equipment allows this:
http://www.solidynepro.com/indexahtmlp_ADA102ENG,t.htm (Version ADA102mpx)
this is a streaming encoder flac to 192 KHz.
I'm sure this could be achieved by software also.

I am intrested in that because alot of stations will have a internet feed to the transmiter side and usually proccess it in a dedicated high end copmuter in the transmiting site. By streaming MPX you can safelly controle and maintain this high end computer in the studio and stream out to multiple transmiter site. This could mean sync issues but it yould be perfect for most stations here in Rhodes,Greece . Here we don't have big, air-conditioned and most importantly DRY building in trasnmiter site so computers can run for aproxometly one year.

That's intersting so if we encode 192Khz in a non lossy compression (like mp3) we can send mpx .

Thanks very much ... Experament time now...

lol, sure not mp3. And sure not with ST. Other side need proper "receiver" And sure not to multiple transmitters since that would mean need of "multicast" - if we want low latency and proper codec/buffer/jitter/ handling.

VLC uses IceCast - so that's supported. To see all the supported formats, read the VLC documentation - a lot is possible!

Of course it can, the problem is that you need to find something that can generate a signal that's formatted such that this device can decode it. And if it uses its own format that will be difficult...
