First about radio text. If i have 3 messages in radio text 30s:THIS IS MESSAGE NUMBER ONE/30s:THIS IS MESSAGE NUMBER TWO/30s:THIS IS MESSAGE NUMBER THREE here all three messages goes for 30 seconds Problem is when time for message expires, in the middle of that message will go next one. i other words it not waits to message finish. On RDS can heppen to looks like this: THIS IS MESSAGE NUMBTHIS IS MESSAGE NUMBER TWO Scheduler: Ok i know it's little hard to implement option like this, i curently thinking to use windows scheduler for already maked .txt files. One importent bug: - Someting is wrong about fourth slider in multiband amplitude treshold! It alwas back to 9.00. If i set it to 6.80, and close multiband window and open it again the number 6.80 stays but slider is on 9.00 position. Sometimes and number is on 9.00. - minor bug, another slider in stereo image for max phase, can't be controled by mouse wheel and tastature arrow keys. |

Bojcha, how often does this happen (RDS RadioText problem)? All the time or only sometimes? I've added logging to see what is sent by Stereo Tool, and that looks fine: Code: NEXTENTRY |0: THIS|4: IS |8: MESS|12: AGE |16: NUMB|20: ER O|24: NE |28: |32: |36: |40: |44: |48: |52: |56: |60: | deviation from this. Can you give me more details on what's happening? I could imagine that messages get "merged", eg. TWO and THREE results in THR or TWOEE due to bad reception. But that the next line starts in the middle of the display is really odd. |

heh .. there is not problem with signal or text errors .. just when time for message expires whotever in middle of that message goes next one. i must record video to show what is goin on with radio text. it will come later .. i hope my camera on mobile is enough to record display from tuner. |

I don't know if I can do anything with the video if I don't know what data Stereo Tool is sending at that same moment. I'll prepare a version with extra logging - if you can run that I know if something goes wrong at your end that doesn't go wrong at my end. (Will take a few hours - I have to go somewhere NOW, which is why I don't have time anymore to put that version online). |

Bojcha: Version with extra logging is available at: http://www.stereotool.com/temp/radio_tool_SA.exe This is NOT an installer, but the executable itself. Just save it to disk and run it - or run it directly without saving it first. The logging is written to the file C:\log (note: Make sure that you don't already have a file or directory by that name!). If you can check if the problem occurs on your receiver, if it does, I'm curious if it shows in the logging. |

nice, i checked... and log is ok! but on reciver not i'll try to explane one more time .. 3 messages (all at 30sec) 1. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 2. yyyyyyyyyyyyyyy 3. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz First mesage goes end 30sec timing starts >> 30sec over for 1st message but in that moment message is in the middle of showing (can heppen specialy with longer messages) >> whotever, ST goes with next .. product is xxxxxxxxxyyyyyy.. then again 2nd mesage goes fine .. Erlier i used PIRA CZ RDS Encoder.. their software was very good .. radio text in that software was limited to 2 messages. But you type it in separatly coloumns .. messages are displayed good .. if i set 20sec for each it will wait 25sec if needed to display whole message and then jump to next. if this hard to solve don;t bother .. this not heppen all time so actualy it's not big deal. it's better to fix other current bugs ![]() |

Update: - Final Limiter: You can now choose to use a different filter that uses less CPU power. This is the same filter that was present in version 3.40, except that currently the timing slider is still missing. - Final Limiter: I've added a filter that *might* improve the sound by reducing the volume of very loud peaks - I still have to do some listening tests. This is again the same filter as the filter in 3.40, but you can configure it to limit the volume to - say - 175% of the maximum before the actual final limiter kicks in. So very loud peaks are reduced by the old filter (that can handle any input volume without causing distortion). - Multiband slider #4 problem is solved. |

Getting closer... Many items of the todo list are ready: - Display timing does not work properly when FM output is turned on - FIXED - Add singleband compressor to limiting/loudness window - DONE - Add low CPU pre-limiter filter to limiting/loudness window (the same thing that I used in version 3.40) - DONE - Possible small loudness quality improvement - DONE, no real change except when the input volume is too high. So if you're having CPU load problems, peaks that are not too big can now be handled by the Loudness filter - which means that you might be able to turn the Final limiter off (especially at lower Loudness values). Remaining items: - Add "TA" (Traffic Announcement) button on main screen - very handy during FM radio broadcasts - Noise reduction window: Make the amount of noise configurable per frequency band - Update presets for better quality, and probably add a few presets. I'll check the forums for good user presets, add a category for those, and ask for permission for the presets that I want to add. (Of course the name will contain the name of the maker of the preset). - Saving of the new settings - Some minor details. (For example, I want to add a pre-amplify slider before the multiband compressor, to make it easier to control the multiband compressor agressiveness. Currently the pre-limiter must be changed to make the multiband compressor less aggressive, which is not very intuitive.) |
