Oh really? ![]() So, what is the reason (advantage/disadvatage) of using the CPU priority setting "realtime", over "high" or "normal"? |

Usually not much. All are a lot higher than the default priority in Windows. |

I had to switch cpu priority on ST back to "normal" from "realtime". Otherwise, I would get periodic clicks in the audio and cpu time stealing away from the automation system, resulting in loose segues. Thanks for the explanations. |

Then I'm guessing that Stereo Tool was running at such a high priority that it was getting in the way of VAC. Actually that should not be possible... Anyway, if lowering the priority helps then it's ok. |

You can also set priority to vac also! No-of-cores / 31. Best priority for ST should be, for XP Realtime and for Win7, High. |
