BETA004 is posted; the binaries have icons now (the same icon as before - no difference yet for different programs though so SST and PhoneBooster have the wrong one), and the console window no longer opens/closes. |

Please also report changes in CPU usage between the old and new version. We need the following info: - CPU - Windows version - Which exact version you're testing (stand alone 64 bit for example) - Old vs new CPU usage |

Please also report changes in CPU usage between the old and new version. We need the following info:
Configuration: 6 cores/6 threads, Quality 150, lots of options on.The old version ran RIST on uMPX, but it is not in the current version. CPU -- Intel i9-13900K Windows version -- Windows 11 (24H2/2025-03) Which exact version you're testing -- Win64 Standalone v10.53-B004 [Compared to v10.51-B011] Old vs new CPU usage -- 12.5% vs 13.4% Old vs new CPU GUI -- 11.2% vs 10.1% Old vs new Mem Use -- 613.1M vs 605.2M EDIT: After running for around 5 days now, I came back to check it and found memory usage had decreased and is averaging 194.9M. I am not sure why the sudden drop but I do not believe I saw this occur in the v10.51 beta??? There have been no errors or issues so far, and the audio is fine. While RIST is missing, I understand that core services must be stable before adding it. ![]() It's been surprisingly good when testing with both satellite and cellular feeds. Ross |

As a general Dante AES67 Output request. Please if possible implement the Multicast Announcing via SAP as well. Dante Controller only "sees" Multicast AES67 Streams if they are announced via SAP on the Network. To use SDP Files you need to use Dante Domain Manager which is subscription only (and quite expensive for amateurs). Quote: Subscribing Dante Devices to RTP Flows from Non-Dante Devices
source: https://dev.audinate.com/GA/ddm/usergui ... ight=AES67RTP transmit flows need to be advertised on the network by the transmitting device. These advertisements provide the information required by receivers to subscribe to the flow. The flows can be advertised in a variety of ways. Dante Controller supports RTP descriptors transmitted via SAP, and containing a range of specific values. Flows that are advertised this way will automatically appear in Dante Controller as a transmit flow. For non-Dante devices that do not use SAP to transmit RTP descriptors, DDM must be configured to 'proxy' the descriptor via SAP so that Dante devices can subscribe to it. As an alternative to make it work with Dante controller you could use a node.js script "hack" that announces the stream infos for it. https://gist.github.com/philhartung/4d4 ... ef82793f19 |

There is finally a new beta again: 1053-006! After multiple reports and about BETA004 performance, we have decided to switch to a different compiler. The CPU load is expected to be nearly identical to that of the last released version (10.51) now. And XP support is back. We have tested it on multiple systems and found basically identical CPU usage everywhere. Please let us know if you do find differences. Once this is confirmed, we do have some changes that might improve the performance on some systems, but enabling that is the next step. |
