Hello Hans,

The problem i described in the other topic is there in version 5.02 and 6.00. When i test version 4.22 it works ok. Maybe it has something to do with the maximize option? When i see the gray planes and i click the icon with the animated meters in the right corner then some more meters appear and when i then hover with the mouse over them, all of them re-appear. But it doesn't matter if i minimize the window when it's maximized or when it's standard width.
So... You see BOTH that icon AND the window at the same time? Then that would be the problem - apparently Stereo Tool thinks that it's minimized and updates only the small tray icon. Is that indeed what you see? (Because so far I've been unable to reproduce it)

Indeed, i see BOTH at the same time. And when i click the icon the existing window gets filled again with the moving meters but without text. When i hover over it with the mouse, the text gets visible again. I've tried the same thing on another computer with fresh stereo tool install, and get the same behavior.

I had this problem a long time ago when I was running XP.
It went away after a reinstall, but my reinstall included a change from XP to win7.

I've found the following thing: When i disable "real-time file system protection" on my virusscanner the window gets minimized directly and there's no problem. When i enable the protection again it takes about 7 seconds and then i get the gray planes. I'm using NOD32.
Update: I now deselected "Scan on File open" in the Real-time file system protection. And then it works ok. I think it has something to do with the creation of the icon and a time out. Maybe you can create the icon on startup and activate the meters in the icon on minimizing.

That explains why I couldn't reproduce it - will try it soon. I guess I'm doing something that NOD doesn't like...

Later:
- Protect Multiband against steep valleys
Will this be part (an addition) of the Flat Frequency Response option ?
I ask, because I would like to have the option to turn it off under certain circumstances (based on the experience that what is good or better for 95 % of use cases could be worse for the remainder of 5 %).

Michi: It will definitely be possible to turn it off. At the very least to protect Loudness :-)

I can't remember who suggested it, but the side to side movement of the oscilloscope can get very annoying after a while.
It appears a lot when listening to dubstep and similar music. example --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ln4r5lV5rIs

Hans have you thought about making the documentation for Stereo Tool into a wiki? So anyone can edit it, then it can be updated easily. :)

nice dirty dubstep track nice find..

and the documentation on wiki seems a good idea.

don't know what you can do about the oscilloscope thou, but I do see what you mean about it going left to right really fast on the
wobble ( bass )..
