Back from my fact finding mission : Operating system is XP CPU model says Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.40ghz Memory is 2.0GB RAM--I'm unsure how to tell if it's Dual Memory. I had not done the latency test but did and it shows at the bottom of the scale..95-105us on average. Never goes above 125. It said that the computer should be able to stream without dropouts. One thing I did notice this time...during those times when the audio stops for about 1 second, the CPU drops from the upper 70's to 56-58%. This was observed across several of the 1 second drop out cycles with identical results. |

Downloaded Beta 028 and it seems to not stutter except when the DeClipper is turned on. Then, it often (but not always) stutters about 2-3 seconds before the beep. |

Also tried it on a 3.20GHZ P 4...the stuttering was worse on that machine. Can anyone tell me if using a P4 of any size is a lost cause? Do I need a machine with the new i series processor? If so, what do I need to make this run FM with De-Clipper at the highest CPU load settings? |

For that i would minimum recommend Intel E8x00 series CPU. But for 100% safe side - some nice i5. |
